According to the new draft law, it is planned to introduce sanctions for the production of halal products and the provision of halal services without the necessary certificates, as well as for violations in the certification procedures of halal products and services.
At the same time, work is underway to improve the halal certification system, including digitalization and the introduction of more transparent production control and product labeling procedures.
“These measures are aimed at protecting consumer rights and building trust in halal products in Kyrgyzstan. Previously identified cases, such as the presence of pork DNA in the products of some manufacturers, have been resolved after reviewing production processes and conducting repeated laboratory tests,” the Ministry of Economy noted.
It is worth mentioning that the Deputy Minister of Economy, Sultan Akhmatov, previously reported that the license of one of the sausage producers was revoked due to discrepancies in accreditation.
However, the company itself denied this statement, indicating that the information is not accurate.
“Currently, we have valid halal certificates issued by authorized bodies. We strictly adhere to halal standards and undergo regular inspections,” the company stated in an official message.

It was also noted that licensing of the company's activities is not required under the Law "On Licensing Activities." The main type of activity of the company - "production and sale of sausage products and meat products" - is carried out in accordance with current norms and requirements.
