The license of the company "Rikha" LLC was revoked. This became known on January 19 during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, where Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov spoke.

Deputy Ulan Primov emphasized that halal products are actively produced in the country; however, consumers cannot be sure of their authenticity. He noted that it is necessary to ensure traceability of goods—from the moment of slaughter to their appearance on store shelves.

Akhmatov also added: "There was a case where a product labeled as halal contained pork. The company 'Rikha' did not pass accreditation properly, and its license was revoked."

Almaz Tairbekov, head of the Halal Industry Development Center, noted that laboratories capable of detecting DNA not only from pork but also from other animals, such as dogs and donkeys, operate in the veterinary inspection of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

He clarified that "The laboratories are located in Bishkek and Osh and have successfully passed accreditation. All products undergo mandatory testing through these laboratories," he said.
