The trade volume between China and Kyrgyzstan has reached a record high of $27.2 billion, as reported by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jiangping. According to him, cooperation in the economic and trade spheres between the two countries demonstrates impressive development. Kyrgyzstan ranks second among China's trading partners in Central Asia, accounting for about 25% of China's total trade turnover with the countries of the region.
By 2025, the volume of bilateral trade is expected to increase by 20% compared to the previous year, marking a historic achievement. Kyrgyzstan has also significantly increased its exports to China, which have risen by 86%, while the trade balance between the two countries continues to improve.
The parties are actively working on implementing agreements reached at the leadership level of the two states. In particular, negotiations are underway for the signing of an Agreement on Trade in Services and Investments, which should create a more sustainable foundation for further expanding cooperation.
Liu Jiangping also noted that in the context of new historical realities, China is ready to develop cooperation not only with Kyrgyzstan but also with other Central Asian countries. He emphasized the importance of integrating the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan of China with the national strategies of its partners, as well as the necessity of implementing the outcomes of summits in this format.
