The economy of Kyrgyzstan has more than doubled in three years – government

The country's GDP has increased by more than 11%, making it one of the fastest-growing in the world



At a recent meeting with the president, the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, presented preliminary data on the state of the economy for 2025.

According to him, in 2024 and 2025, the economic growth rate exceeded 11%. In 2025, the gross domestic product of the country amounted to 1 trillion 976.4 billion soms, and according to revised data, it may exceed 2 trillion soms. For comparison, in 2022 this figure was 1 trillion 21 billion soms, demonstrating a twofold growth of the economy over three years.

The real GDP growth in 2025 was 11.1%, while the average growth rate over the past four years reached 10.2%, which, as the head of the Cabinet emphasizes, is an extremely high indicator both in regional and global contexts.

All sectors of the economy contributed to this growth. Thus, the construction sector increased by 21.1%, services by 10.9%, agriculture by 2.2%, and industry by 10.7%. The volume of industrial production reached almost 800 billion soms. Particularly noticeable growth rates are observed in such sectors as pharmaceuticals, food industry, production of building materials, automobiles, chemical products, and mining.

In addition, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 18.4%, reaching a record 374.6 billion soms, which is 100 billion more than in 2024. Of this amount, 24% or 90.3 billion soms were financed from the republican budget.
