GDP Components
The structure of the gross domestic product in 2025 was distributed as follows:
Price Increases
The rise in prices for goods and services became one of the main issues causing concern among citizens. From January to December 2025, consumer prices and tariffs in the country increased by 9.4% compared to December 2024, as reported by the chairman of the National Statistics Committee, Baktybek Kudaybergenov, at a press conference in Bishkek. The average nominal salary in November 2025 reached 42,954 soms, which is 19.1% more than in January - November 2024.
Although nominal incomes of the population increased, real purchasing power remains in question. For instance, in Bishkek, the price per square meter of housing in residential buildings rose by 26.8% in 2025, while in Osh it increased by 37%. Those planning to buy housing have to set aside more funds. Moreover, electricity tariffs increased by 23.4% from May 1, rising from 1.11 to 1.37 soms per kWh, which exceeds the growth rates of salaries and is particularly felt by low-income families.
Decline in Foreign Trade
According to the latest data, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover from January to November 2025 amounted to $14 billion 19.4 million, which is 12.2% less compared to the same period in 2024.The decline in exports was largely due to a decrease in gold shipments amounting to $1 billion 531.5 million.
Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade turnover with the EAEU amounted to $4.9 billion, which is 1.3% higher, with the largest number of transactions occurring with Russia (64.1%) and Kazakhstan (33.5%).
