There is no interstate dispute between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the EAEU Court

Dronov reported that a request from the authorized body of Kyrgyzstan regarding the clarification of the norms of the labor migration agreement (OMC) is currently under consideration by the large panel of the court. He also emphasized that there are currently no interstate disputes in the court's proceedings, including cases between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.

In addition, the chairman of the court noted that the clarifications provided within the framework of advisory opinions do not deprive member states of the right to jointly interpret international treaties. At the same time, such opinions are of a recommendatory nature. Earlier, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Kyrgyzstan had not filed a lawsuit in the EAEU Court, but had only requested clarifications regarding the norms of the OMC for the families of labor migrants.
