A tariff exemption for the import of cocoa butter has been introduced in the EAEU

The tariff exemption will be in effect for one year, with an extension until April 30, 2027. This measure is aimed at supporting enterprises in the confectionery and food industries of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as promoting the development of local production and increasing added value within the Union.

To take advantage of the exemption, it is necessary to provide a document issued by the authorized body of the EAEU member country that confirms the right to import. This document must specify the names of the importers and the volumes of cocoa butter deliveries allowed within the limit.

Imported cocoa butter can only be used for processing and the production of finished products within the territory of the respective EAEU member state. The use of the raw material for other purposes is prohibited.

This requirement is aimed at developing local production and increasing the competitiveness of goods produced within the Union.

The decision made is expected to help food industry enterprises ensure stable supplies of raw materials, increase production volumes, and offer quality products in the EAEU market.
