
The National Bank also reports record volumes in QR payments. In 2025, 525.1 million transactions were registered through the main operator, amounting to 908.6 billion soms, which is eight and ten times more than in 2024, respectively.
It is important to note that Kyrgyzstan is the only country in Central Asia where inter-system integration of various payment systems based on the national standard for QR codes has been implemented. The ELQR system involves 20 commercial banks and 14 payment organizations, making this achievement unique not only for the region but also for the EAEU.
The measures to develop QR payments implemented in 2025 were a key step towards creating a modern infrastructure for cashless transactions and laid the groundwork for further progress in the fast payment system.
