One of the main priorities of the Department of Transport in 2025 was to monitor the weight and dimensional parameters of vehicles, which helped preserve public roads.
As a result of violations of weight and dimensional norms under Article 181 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Kyrgyzstan, 4,587 protocols were drawn up, with a total amount of fines imposed amounting to 88.7 million soms. For comparison, in 2024, 2,490 violations were recorded totaling 47.6 million soms.
In addition, within the framework of weight and dimensional control, additional funds were collected:
- for compensation for damage to roads — 15.46 million soms;
- for weighing and measuring parameters — 9.86 million soms.
Department specialists noted that compliance with weight norms has a direct impact on the longevity of roads and road safety.
