According to this protocol:
- The Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas will be dissolved;
- The Agreement on the establishment of the council dated March 2, 1993, is terminated;
- Issues of cooperation in the oil and gas sector will now be discussed within the framework of the Council on Industrial Policy of the CIS member states.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the CIS that the country has completed the necessary internal procedures for the protocol to enter into force.
The document will come into effect 7 days after its official publication.

on the dissolution of the Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas
Yalta, September 28, 2012
The governments of the states-parties to the Agreement on the establishment of the Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas dated March 2, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the Parties)
have reached the following agreement:
Article 1.
Dissolve the Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas.
Article 2.
Consider the Agreement on the establishment of the Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas dated March 2, 1993, as terminated.
Article 3.
Issues of cooperation in the oil and gas sector will be considered within the framework of the Council on Industrial Policy of the CIS member states.
Article 4.
This Protocol shall enter into force 30 days after the depositary receives the last notification of the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Adopted in the city of Yalta on September 28, 2012, in one original copy in the Russian language. The original is kept in the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will send each state that signed this Protocol its certified copy.
