According to the minister, local akimats often strive to build asphalt roads, despite their significantly higher cost. "An asphalt road costs 6–10 times more than a gravel road," he explained. "They start construction, but there is not enough funding even for gravel roads. Therefore, a new order is being prepared, which will recommend using gravel roads in small villages so that they are of good quality and meet established standards."
“Local authorities do not have enough budget to keep asphalt roads in good condition,” he added.
According to new plans, the ministry intends to completely solve the problem of access roads to settlements by constructing gravel roads. The document has already been prepared and is awaiting approval, after which its implementation will begin.
