Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan: No cases of Nipah virus infection have been registered in the country

According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently no cases of Nipah virus infection in the country. Continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation is being conducted.

In order to prevent the possible introduction of the infection into the country, sanitary control measures at the border of the Kyrgyz Republic have been tightened. Employees of sanitary and quarantine points monitor the health status of arriving citizens, control vehicles, and carry out necessary preventive measures in accordance with established norms.

Medical institutions in the country have received instructions for the early detection and isolation of patients, as well as for organizing anti-epidemic measures.

The Ministry of Health is cooperating with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international partners to exchange information on the epidemiological situation and coordinate preventive measures, as stated in the official release.
