Employees of the district department of the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Ak-Suisky district organized activities for winter feeding of pheasants in their natural habitat. This initiative is also supported by the local hunting society.
In addition, measures to combat illegal hunting are being strengthened. Specialists report that the main threats to pheasants at present are predatory animals, and appropriate measures are also being implemented in this area.
According to the results of the autumn bird count in the Ak-Suisky district, about 1200 pheasants were registered.
