Rustam Kopeyev, who lives in the village of Ak-Chiy, located in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, has dedicated himself to metallurgy for the past 15 years.

He was born on March 30, 1985, in the same village and, having received education only up to the 7th grade, later mastered the profession of a gas-electric welder.

“Five years ago, I opened my workshop, but before that, I worked in various workshops in Bishkek, where I gained the necessary experience. My father and grandfather on my father's side were also craftsmen, and I have always been interested in their work, which led me to choose this profession. I have many clients; sometimes they even stand in line. I try to fulfill orders quickly and with quality,” Rustam shares his impressions.

He noted that among his clients, orders for grain and feed crop crushers, concrete mixers, gates, and fences are popular. During the season, he hires assistants to handle the workload.

“Every month I receive up to 15 orders for crushers. Some clients say supportive words that warm my soul, while others, unfortunately, express dissatisfaction. Nevertheless, my business largely depends on customer feedback,” he added.

In his free time, Rustam enjoys fishing and spending time in nature.

In the future, he plans to expand his business and create new jobs.

Rustam has two children.
