The total area of this zone is about 80 hectares. The plan includes the creation of laboratories dedicated to fruit and berry crops, as well as a specialized botanical experimental laboratory.
Albanov noted that scientific research is already being conducted in this area, and the conditions in the laboratory for fruit and berry crops have improved. He added that the section related to these crops occupies 70 hectares, and its development will continue.
Currently, work on clearing the underbrush is being carried out in the lower part of the botanical garden — from Akhunbaev Street to Sukhe-Bator. After the completion of work in this section, specialists will move on to the next one — from Sukhe-Bator to the Southern Highway. Albanov noted that the appearance of this area will also be brought into order.
The Deputy Director emphasized that this part of the garden will not be completely closed: there are plans to organize entrances and install fences.
Additionally, Albanov mentioned that some foreign botanical gardens have a paid entry system. He expressed the opinion that if the open area is brought into order and becomes comfortable, the issue of introducing an entry fee may be considered in the future.
He also clarified that the facilities currently being created in the lower part of the garden, such as mini-football fields and playgrounds, are not commercial.
