In the Bishkek Botanical Garden named after E. Gareev, new spaces will be created, including a children's sports playground, an open-air amphitheater, mini-football fields, and a workout area, as well as a modern conference hall and closed zones for scientific research. This was announced by the deputy director of the garden, Nurlan Albanov, on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

As Albanov explained, international experience was taken into account when developing new infrastructure solutions. Specialists from the botanical garden studied the functioning of similar facilities in countries such as South Korea, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, which served as the basis for the decision to create an amphitheater.

The deputy director emphasized that scientific activity in the botanical garden continues to be the main task of the institution. He cited Tajikistan as an example, where the botanical garden is also part of the Academy of Sciences, but its territory includes recreational areas, shops, museums, protected areas, and even a zoo, while scientific staff work in specially designated zones.

According to Albanov, a similar approach is planned to be implemented in Bishkek. He specified that an area of about 40 hectares will be open to visitors, while 80 hectares will remain closed and will be used for scientific purposes.

The Bishkek Botanical Garden, according to Albanov, is the largest in Central Asia, covering an area of 151 hectares. The only larger botanical garden is in Russia, where the Central Botanical Garden occupies about 320 hectares. In its territory, some areas are open to visitors, while others remain closed.

Albanov reported that a similar practice will also be implemented in Bishkek: 40 hectares will be available for recreation, while about 80 hectares will remain closed to outsiders.

In the open area of the garden, the construction of paths is planned, including pedestrian walkways, bike paths, and running routes, which will allow residents to spend time outdoors in comfortable conditions.
