According to Deputy Santalat Amanova, about half of all school graduates do not pass the National Testing, which indicates the need to improve the level of student preparation.

Previously, this figure was around 40%, but as Amanova noted, despite the improvement to 50%, this is clearly not enough. "In Bishkek and Osh, out of 1,000 graduates, half do not pass the test, and this could lead to 500 of them ending up in labor migration," she emphasized.

The deputy highlighted that the government allocates significant funds for test preparation. "Teachers and methodologists are working hard to ensure that students acquire the necessary knowledge and can successfully pass the test. Conditions for learning in the regions have improved, but the work must continue," she added.

In addition, Amanova expressed the opinion that a competitive selection process should be conducted for the position of school directors, who are appointed for a five-year term. "Why wait a whole 5 years to dismiss an ineffective leader?" she questioned.

She also noted that rotation should occur at least once every five years. If a director does not demonstrate satisfactory results, cannot improve the qualifications of the teaching staff, and enhance the educational process, then there is no point in keeping them in the position. "It is precisely because of this that in a number of regions up to 50% of graduates do not pass the National Testing," she concluded.

Amanova emphasized that the responsibility for preparing schoolchildren and interacting with educators should be shared between the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Education.
