In the Naryn region, a recent collegial meeting addressed the outcomes of 2025 and key issues in the education sector. In particular, it was highlighted that many schools are unable to find directors for their vacancies.

During the discussion on the situation with unfilled positions in education, the participants reported that out of 151 kindergartens in the region, 43 institutions do not have leaders. This problem is largely due to social factors. Currently, the average salary of a kindergarten teacher is about 35,000 soms, while a kindergarten director earns an average of 25,000 soms. The low salary levels have led to a shortage of candidates for leadership positions over the past two years.

At present, there are 9 director positions vacant in the region's schools.

As for vocational lyceums, there are 6 such educational institutions functioning in the Naryn region. Lyceum No. 87 has two branches in the villages of Kazan-Kuygan and Kulanak; however, both branches are not yet operating at full capacity.

Currently, there is a proposal to convert the building of the branch in the village of Kulanak into a kindergarten. At the same time, the building in Kazan-Kuygan is in an emergency state; considering that children from two villages come here to study, it is suggested to consider the construction of a new school.
