It has also been proposed to increase pensions for the deaf due to the increased risk of workplace accidents
At a meeting of the two deputy groups "Eldik" and "Ala-Tuu," Azamat Israilov raised an important issue regarding social support for people with disabilities. He addressed Edil Baysalov, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Minister of Labor, Kanat Sagynbaev.
According to him, currently, financial assistance is provided only to those who care for individuals blind from birth, while those who lose their sight later remain without support. Israilov strongly urged the Ministry of Labor to consider introducing payments for this category of citizens as well.
In addition, the deputy noted the necessity of increasing pensions for the deaf. He emphasized that due to the low level of payments, many of them are forced to continue working, even though the working conditions often pose a danger to their health. This, in his opinion, leads to an increase in the number of workplace accidents.
Israilov called on government agencies to reconsider existing approaches to supporting people with disabilities to ensure them a more dignified standard of living.
