"The road was also planned in previous master plans"
Recently, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Janibek Abirov from the "Mekenchil" group held a meeting with Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov, during which he raised the issue of the possibility of demolishing houses on Sheralieva Street due to the planned modernization of the road infrastructure.
Abirov expressed concern: "Local residents, whose houses may be demolished as a result of the street widening from Akhunbaev to Gagarin, are worried. Property prices in this area have started to fall," he added.
In response, the vice mayor assured that the city hall is openly informing the public about the upcoming changes.
"The road was included in previous master plans as well. Earlier discussions of the master plans were held in a closed format, and the information was not available to the general public. Now we are holding public hearings and taking into account the opinions of residents. We will not begin the street widening immediately; however, it is already included in the project," Kadyrov emphasized.
According to preliminary estimates, about 100 houses may be at risk of demolition as a result of road works in this area.
