To build 'Manhattan' in Bishkek, trees will be cut down and buildings demolished

Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev promises to improve the canal bank

In the capital's Alamedin-1 district, there are plans to beautify the embankment along the BChK, which will involve cutting down trees and demolishing existing structures. This was reported by local residents.

Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev previously held an on-site meeting at several locations in the city, including the area where the beautification of the embankment next to the TEC technical canal and BChK is planned. A new walking area will be created along Auezov Street in this area; however, this requires the removal of several buildings, including the "Jasmin" café.

During his visit, Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev jokingly referred to this area as the future "Manhattan".

In addition to the beautification of the embankment, the project also includes plans for the construction of new bridges and the creation of parking spaces.
