The city administration of Osh has announced a new requirement for café and restaurant owners: they are now obligated to create parking zones for their customers.
According to information posted in the official announcement, all catering establishments and commercial entities must ensure the availability of parking spaces for visitors.
This decision is related to the deteriorating traffic situation. Despite recent work on expanding and modernizing the streets, spontaneous parking of cars along the roads continues to cause congestion and reduces the throughput of traffic flows.
Despite explanatory work with entrepreneurs, many of them continue to neglect the established norms.
As an example, the popular café "Atabek" was mentioned, which received a warning from the authorities. The establishment accommodates up to 200 visitors but has only 25 parking spaces. According to the calculations of the city administration, there should be a minimum of 120 parking spaces for such occupancy.
If the new requirements are not met, the city administration will be forced to take enforcement measures.
