The Opening of Kyrgyz Film Days Took Place in Astana

An event dedicated to the opening of Kyrgyz Cinema Days took place in Astana, organized by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kudaybergen Bazarbaev, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, emphasized that the Kazakh audience shows a constant interest in Kyrgyz cinema. He also reminded that the film "Heaven at the Feet of Mothers" took first place at the box office in Kazakhstan in 2024.

The Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sabit Barlybaev, shared information about the cultural exchange between the two countries and the high level of professionalism of Kyrgyz filmmakers.

Among the guests of the event were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of diplomatic missions, students from Kyrgyzstan studying in Astana under academic programs, as well as members of the Kyrgyz diaspora.

The opening film was "Black, Red, Yellow," directed by Aktan Arym Kubat. The screening was a full house and attracted significant attention from the audience. The event was actively covered in Kazakhstani media.

As part of the Kyrgyz Cinema Days, the drama "Kachkyn" is scheduled to be shown on January 30.
