At a meeting with representatives of the state enterprise "Unaa," the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, reported that over the past ten years, there have been 75,000 traffic accidents in the country.
The President noted that as a result of these incidents, 9,120 people lost their lives, and 13,260 sustained various injuries. Due to the accidents, nearly half of the injured have become disabled, which creates additional financial obligations for the state, including benefit payments.
Japarov emphasized that these figures highlight the seriousness of the issue of road safety and the need for systemic measures to address it.
