Seventy-four delegates attended the meeting, where they heard the report on the activities of the previous president, Ramis Junusaliev. His resignation statement was accepted unanimously.
Akyilbek Eshimov previously served as a deputy in the Jogorku Kenesh from 2011 to 2015, and then headed the National Federation of Alys Kurash from 2015 to 2022. In recent years, he has been leading the Kara-Suu Kok-Boru Federation.
It is worth noting that Ramis Junusaliev was detained last December on suspicion of fraudulent activities, and investigative measures regarding this case are ongoing.
