President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with citizens at the State Institution "Unaa" on February 3, where he addressed the criticism from deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the reform of driving schools and the process of issuing driver's licenses.

He noted that in society, when acute problems arise, some representatives rush to express their opinions, seeking to win the sympathy of voters. "The correctness or incorrectness of such an approach, as well as its usefulness for the state, often takes a back seat. Accusations against the government begin, claiming that it is 'the enemy of the people,' and it creates the impression that some speak on behalf of the people, while the state becomes an opponent," the president emphasized.

Japarov urged deputies to study issues more thoroughly before discussing them. He reminded them of the importance of the principle: "measure seven times — cut once." It is necessary to understand what real benefit a particular decision will bring to the state and the people.

"If the government makes mistakes, then one should not remain silent. I myself was a deputy twice, but I never resorted to populism," he added.

The president also suggested that deputies organize open discussions where representatives of the government and society can meet and discuss the issues that have arisen. "Only after that should statements be made," Japarov concluded.
