President Sadyr Japarov spoke about the ongoing reforms in the field of driver training.
He noted that he himself underwent training at the DOSAAF driving school for six months, dedicating time to it every day.
“We were taught by being shown the car and asked questions about its structure: where the starter, radiator, battery, and driveshaft are. Nowadays, many driving schools limit themselves to just showing images to the youth. The technical base was illegally privatized. There were more than 70 driving schools under the DOSAAF umbrella, and one general managed to appropriate almost all of them. Of these, more than 30 were sold, and 40 were leased, which brings him profit,” Japarov said. He added that the state will continue efforts to reclaim this property.
