At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 4, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev presented an initiative aimed at simplifying the conditions for Kyrgyz citizens to enter the country in vehicles registered abroad. He pointed out that many Kyrgyz citizens living in Kazakhstan and Russia face difficulties when trying to enter the country with their cars due to the existing ban.

Bekeshev expressed understanding of the reasons for the introduction of this restriction but called for its revision, proposing the possibility of temporary registration of vehicles at the border for a period of one month. "This will prevent cars from being left on the territory of the country," he added, addressing the representatives of the cabinet of ministers and the president.

The deputy also noted that Kyrgyz citizens encounter problems when their cars with Russian license plates end up in impound lots, and they are unable to retrieve them.

"Provide them with such an opportunity; let them pay the necessary amount. We need to legalize these vehicles. We cannot send them for recycling. Resolve this issue and announce additional legalization for cars with Armenian and Abkhazian plates, as not everyone has managed to do this," Bekeshev emphasized.

Additionally, he noted the need to assist citizens of Kazakhstan who have relatives in Kyrgyzstan.

"They cannot come due to visa runs. The number of requests for help is significant. It is necessary to make an exception for them. Many families are suffering from separation: children, grandmothers, and mothers are left without support," he concluded.
