At a recent "government hour" in the Jogorku Kenesh, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdin Oruntaev announced the effective bankruptcy of the construction company "Emacom," which lacks the financial resources to complete its current projects.

According to him, the company has a number of problematic sites in Bishkek and Osh. Some of these are under construction, while others have been completed but are not yet operational. The minister also noted that since last year, his department has been actively working on commissioning completed houses where residents have already moved in. For some projects, issues have been resolved.

Regarding projects where work has been suspended, Oruntaev reported that there are directives from the president, and decisions will be made in the near future.

Additionally, the head of the Ministry of Construction strongly recommended that citizens carefully check developers before purchasing real estate and avoid investing in companies facing financial difficulties.

It is worth noting that the issues related to "Emacom" have been discussed for several years. In September 2024, the capital's police detained the former head of the company and ex-deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Emilbek Jusupov, following complaints from clients to law enforcement agencies.

According to the police, investors suffered losses of over 60 million soms. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this matter under Article 209 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to large-scale fraud.
