At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdana Oruntaev, reported that over the past four years, the number of emergency social facilities in the country has significantly decreased.

In response to questions from deputies about the condition of emergency buildings, the minister noted that the department conducts regular monitoring of such facilities.

“Over the past four years, more than 300 emergency facilities have been identified. New buildings are being constructed in their place. As of last year, their number has significantly reduced — there are currently about 100 emergency schools in the country. We plan to close all emergency facilities either this year or next year,” he stated.

Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev added that currently, 113 schools in Kyrgyzstan are in emergency condition, and this issue is a priority for the government when allocating funds for the construction of new facilities.
