The Road Safety Forum Took Place in Bishkek

Today, a forum focused on road safety issues and finding effective solutions to reduce the number of traffic accidents took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. Participants discussed the current state of road conditions in the country and the capital and developed specific measures for improvement.

High-ranking guests attended the event, including the head of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Azhenbek Kozukeev, the head of the Bishkek City Police Department, Azamat Toktonaliev, and the deputy mayor of the capital, Ramiz Aliyev. Representatives from the judiciary, religious organizations, municipal services, and educational institutions were also present.

The main topic of discussion was the causes of traffic accidents and methods for their prevention. Participants emphasized the need to strengthen state programs in the field of road safety, improve infrastructure in the most accident-prone areas, including lighting, road signs, and pedestrian crossings, as well as enhance control over speed limit compliance and the prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Particular attention was given to preventive measures. Forum participants were encouraged to regularly conduct awareness-raising work with the population, expand traffic rules education in educational institutions, and establish more active interaction with local communities.

During the forum, the issue was raised that a culture of safe behavior on the roads should be formed from an early age. Educational institutions were urged to strengthen their work with children and adolescents to ensure their conscious adherence to traffic rules.

Participants addressed drivers and pedestrians with a reminder that compliance with traffic rules is a personal responsibility of everyone. Special emphasis was placed on the safety of children and the elderly, who often become victims of traffic accidents.

The forum also included a creative program featuring poems about road safety and a mini-sketch illustrating the consequences of rule violations. The forum concluded with an interactive game on traffic rules knowledge.

In closing the event, the head of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Azhenbek Kozukeev, emphasized that reducing the number of accidents is only possible through the joint efforts of the state and society. He called on everyone to be an example of responsible behavior on the road and to promote the principle of "Safe roads, safe future."
