Ergeshov noted that many parking lots operate without proper oversight, and the collected funds do not go into the city budget but end up in the pockets of private individuals. Currently, all parking lots are leased without competitions or tenders, which creates conditions for corruption. "It is necessary to determine the reasons for the loss of funds. Our parking lots should generate more than 200 million soms, as previously the rates were 15-20 soms per space, but now the price has already reached 25 soms, and some operators charge up to 50 soms. I propose to legalize the fees at 50 soms — this is an acceptable price, especially for large markets," he added.
Deputy Director of the Municipal Enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure" Talaybek Aseinov reported that the company's plans for the first half of the year include installing a thousand QR codes, and another thousand in the second half of the year. This innovation will cover 80% of parking spaces and significantly increase revenue.
