The committee reminded of its commitment to the interests of the people and the state
In the State National Security Committee (GKNB), they reported on actions aimed at discrediting the special services by certain interested groups. This statement was made by the press center of the GKNB.
In the context of recent events related to the resignation of the head of the GKNB, there are attempts in the media space to discredit the work of national security in the Kyrgyz Republic. Such statements and their interpretations are one-sided and aimed at undermining citizens' trust in government bodies. GKNB employees operate under the command of the Supreme Commander of the KR.
The national security organization works strictly within the framework of the Constitution and current legislation, adhering to the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society. The main task of the agency is to ensure the security of the country, protect the constitutional order, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as combat the challenges of terrorism, extremism, corruption, and other threats.
The GKNB emphasizes that all emerging questions and doubts should be discussed only within the legal framework, based on facts and verified information. Discrediting state structures without providing evidence harms not only the specific agency but also the overall level of trust in society.
The committee calls on the public, the media, and high-ranking officials to refrain from harsh criticism of GKNB employees who diligently and responsibly fulfill their duties.
The GKNB assured that work to ensure the security of the country will continue consistently and in accordance with all principles in the interests of the people and the state.
