According to the agency, due to the snow that has been falling since February 11 of this year, snow avalanches have occurred on the roads Aala-Buka—Zhany-Bazar—Kirovka and Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash, and traffic is temporarily closed.
More than 10 units of special equipment from the rural district of Kanysh-Kyia — LLC "Zhagalmai," LLC "Full Gold Mining," and road maintenance enterprise No. 27 have been involved in the clearing operations. Currently, work is ongoing to clear the roads of snow and ensure safety.
Due to the weather conditions, educational institutions in the district have switched to online learning. As a result of the heavy snowfall, some villages have experienced power supply interruptions, and district power networks are conducting restoration work. An additional emergency crew has been dispatched and will be delivered to the area after road communication is restored.
Also, due to the weight of the snow, the roof of one residential building has been damaged, and the roofs of two livestock barns have collapsed. There are no injuries among people and no damage to livestock.
In the Toguz-Toro district, there have also been heavy snowfalls, with snow cover reaching 1 meter in some villages. Following the clearing operations, access to all settlements has been ensured. Schools have been switched to online mode.
On certain sections of the alternative North-South highway, avalanches have occurred, and for safety reasons, the road is temporarily closed, with posts set up. Movement is also temporarily restricted on the section of the road bordering the Jumgal district of the Naryn region. No power outages have been recorded in the area.
The situation in both districts is under the personal control of the representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region, Tilek Tekebaev, and relevant services have been instructed to take prompt measures.
