The municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" has clarified the situation regarding the shooting of dogs in the village of Novopavlovka, which occurred at the address Mira Street, 9. This decision was made based on numerous complaints from local residents and directives from the Lenin District Administration of Bishkek, as well as a telegram from MTU No. 106, dated February 11, 2026, with the number 01-13/5.
According to information from the Bishkek mayor's office, there were about 30 dogs and over 50 cats in the specified area. This number significantly exceeds the norms established for keeping pets in the capital — no more than 2 dogs and 3 cats in one private household.
Additionally, the animals lacked the necessary veterinary documents and confirmations of preventive vaccinations, which is a violation of the law. It was recorded that for a long time, employees from various services — including MTU, veterinary, and sanitary-epidemiological services — made visits to this address more than 7 times. The citizen was repeatedly warned about the need to rectify the violations and bring the conditions for keeping the animals in line with established norms.
During the performance of their duties, the citizen exhibited aggression and obstructed the work of the employees, including an incident where she released dogs towards them, thereby creating a threat to their safety.
As a result of the situation, a forced measure was taken — the shooting of one dog that posed an immediate threat was carried out. The shooting of the other animals was not conducted.
It should be noted that all actions were carried out without the presence of children or third parties, as claimed in the circulated video. The Bishkek mayor's office and the relevant services acted in accordance with the law, aiming to ensure sanitary safety, maintain public order, and protect local residents.
