In the Chui region, in the Moscow district, a memorial rally was held dedicated to the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. This event was a tribute of respect and memory to the Afghan warriors, as reported by the deputy head of the district state administration, Nazgul Mekeshova.

As it became known, commemorative events took place at the monument to internationalist soldiers in the village of Belovodskoye. Every year, veterans of the Afghan war are honored here, and tribute is paid to the fallen. During the rally, wreaths were laid at the monument, and those present recalled the feats of the soldiers. A prayer was recited in honor of the deceased, and a small concert program was held.

“February 15 is not just a date, but a symbol of courage, resilience, and the heavy trials faced by the soldiers. This day is not only a memory but also a celebration of the heroism of those who gave their lives in this war,” noted Nazgul Mekeshova.

The event was attended by the first deputy akim Ulan Sadaliev, Afghan veterans, representatives of the district military enlistment office, social services, institutions and organizations, as well as local residents.
