Citizens are wondering why the mandatory health insurance (MHI) policy does not cover all family members and requires separate registration for each. In response, the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund explains that in Kyrgyzstan, the system of mandatory health insurance is personalized. Each MHI policy reflects the individual insurance status and is issued separately for each person.
All personal data is entered into a unified database "MHI Policy," which ensures access to medical services within the framework of state guarantees and allows the system to clearly identify the rights of each insured individual.
The cost of the MHI policy for citizens of Kyrgyzstan is 1840 soms for a period of 12 months. The policy becomes effective 5 days after payment and is issued for one citizen. Having a valid policy entitles the holder to receive medical services within the established volume and protects the rights of the insured person.
