Pension in Kyrgyzstan will be automatically calculated through 'Tunduk'

Digital reform continues to develop in the country

A new automatic pension calculation system called "Tunduk" has been introduced in the Kyrgyz Republic. Representatives of the Social Fund reported that this system is already fully operational.

The agency emphasized that all pension recipients, including those receiving payments through banks and post offices, have been transitioned to a 100% electronic format. The "Tunduk" system facilitates data exchange with 17 different government agencies, significantly simplifying the process and eliminating the need to provide numerous certificates.

The current stage of the reform, which started this year and will continue until 2045, includes many innovations.

One such innovation will be the automatic assignment of pensions for citizens who reach retirement age. This proactive service will begin on July 1, 2026. One month before the citizen's birthday, when they reach retirement age, the system will automatically collect the necessary data through government information platforms, allowing for pension assignment without the individual's personal involvement.

According to the new mechanism, the Social Fund will be integrated with the information systems of other government bodies and will receive the necessary information about citizens (such as work experience and personal data) in electronic form. If the information is complete and accurate, the pension will be calculated automatically, and a notification of the assignment will be sent to the citizen via the "Tunduk" application. This notification will also offer the option to choose a bank for opening an account, with the details being processed automatically, without the need for the citizen's involvement.

The proactive approach will also be applied when assigning pensions for disability. This system aims to reduce citizens' time expenditures, decrease the need for document collection, minimize the influence of the human factor, and improve the transparency and efficiency of government services.
