Of those in Iran, 11 people have expressed a desire to leave the country in case of an emergency.
As for Israel, there are also about 100 citizens of Kyrgyzstan there. The issue of their emergency evacuation is not currently on the agenda. The honorary consul has been instructed to monitor the situation and maintain contact with Kyrgyz citizens.
As of March 2 of this year, approximately 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan reside in the Middle East, mainly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. There have been no reports of casualties or homelessness among them.
The situation in the Middle East has escalated following the onset of attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran, which began on February 28 with massive air and missile strikes on cities and military targets. In response, Iran attacked Israel and American military bases in several countries in the region. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the start of the military operation "Epic Fury" after the initial strikes.
Despite this, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed, and several high-ranking officials from Tehran were among the casualties.
The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues to grow, and missile strikes from both sides are ongoing. Thousands of people have been blocked due to the closed airspace in the combat zone.
