According to the statement by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmambetov at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on science and youth issues, the number of crimes committed by minors increased by 11% in 2025. Last year, 1,814 such offenses were recorded, while in 2024, this figure was 1,640.
As a measure to combat the rise in crime, authorities plan to develop the system of video cameras as part of the "Safe City" and "Safe Country" projects, aiming to increase their number to 20,000.
