During the meeting, the results of the operational and service activities of the internal affairs bodies for 2025 were discussed, the implementation of the "Safe Country" project, as well as issues related to improving the quality of service to the public and determining priority areas for the work of law enforcement agencies.

Ulan Niyazbekov, opening the meeting, emphasized the significant results achieved in 2025 and noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs' transition to the active use of modern technologies and digital solutions in the field of security.

According to the presented data, the crime rate significantly decreased in 2025, and the indicators for solving crimes improved. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured a high level of public order and safety during more than 120 mass events, preventing serious violations of the law.

In addition, over a hundred modern service buildings were put into operation across the country, significantly improving working conditions for law enforcement personnel.

In accordance with the president's directive, a complete transition from the "Safe City" project to the "Safe Country" program has begun, the first phase of which started in June 2025. As part of this project, a tourist-ecological battalion was created in the Issyk-Kul region, responsible for public order and safety. This unit is equipped with modern equipment and digital technologies, which significantly reduces the crime rate during the tourist season.

“We focus not only on ensuring public order and combating crime but also on improving citizen services by providing prompt and quality assistance to both local residents and tourists. As a result, nearly 10,000 crimes were prevented,” the minister noted.

Ulan Niyazbekov also emphasized that the second phase of the "Safe Country" project is planned for 2026. Within its framework, more than 20,000 video cameras will be installed across the country, and new digital solutions will be implemented, which will enhance safety in public places, on streets, and in areas of mass gatherings.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs consistently fulfills the assigned tasks and takes measures to ensure the safety of citizens,” the minister concluded his speech.

In his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev drew the participants' attention to the key areas for the further work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, outlining tasks for strengthening the rule of law and ensuring the safety of citizens. He also presented state awards to Ministry of Internal Affairs employees who distinguished themselves in the performance of their official duties during the meeting.
