The ceremony took place at the monument to Ormon-Khan Niyazbek uulu, located in the ethnocomplex "Ormon-Khan," situated in the village of Semiz-Bel.
Talgat Isaev, the deputy head of the Kochkor District State Administration, addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech, congratulating everyone on the anniversary of the adoption of the flag of Kyrgyzstan.
During the event, the state flag was raised, and the participants, including heads of institutions and village leaders, paid tribute to this important symbol.
- The state flag of Kyrgyzstan was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 3, 1992, and on March 5 of the same year, it was first raised over the government building.
- On December 20, 2023, the Jogorku Kenesh discussed the possibility of changing the state flag, and on December 22, President Sadyr Japarov signed a bill regarding changes to the legislation on state symbols. According to this law, the wavy shape of the sun rays on the flag was replaced with a straight one.
