Today, March 5, the third auction for obtaining containers at this market is taking place. A total of 36 pavilions (lots) are up for bidding.
The Municipal Property Management of the Kara-Balta City Hall reported that 369 applications have been submitted to participate in the auction.
Some lots are generating particular interest and competition. For example, lot No. 41 has 51 bidders vying for it.
There are a total of 79 pavilions at the "Kerben" market, and this auction is the third one, as the others were allocated in previous rounds.
It is worth noting that in 2024, Kara-Balta was granted the status of a city of regional subordination, which became possible due to the administrative-territorial reform. The city also received 1 billion soms in targeted funding to implement a number of projects, including the opening of the "Kerben" market.
Earlier, it was reported that in August 2025, the second auction for the allocation of trading spaces at the municipal market "Kerben" took place. In this auction, 35 lots were offered, but no applications were received for two of them, resulting in 33 pavilions being auctioned.
Unlike the first auction, which attracted 507 participants, the second had 208 applications submitted. Five applicants were disqualified due to the lack of a 30% guarantee deposit and an incomplete set of documents.
Lot No. 42 turned out to be the most attractive, with 13 participants competing for the rental of the pavilion.
The starting price for the pavilions was 595 soms per square meter, with areas ranging from 14 to 18 m².
After the first auction, many winners declined their lots due to the high rental fees, which they themselves had increased during the bidding. The maximum price reached up to 262,000 soms per month.
