The Child Protection Center (CPC) was established in 1998 with the aim of protecting the rights and interests of children in difficult situations. The CPC includes a shelter for children affected by violence and two day centers located near the "Dordoy" and Osh markets. These centers provide support to children from disadvantaged families.
Many children attending the day centers live in extreme poverty and are often forced to work to help their families. CPC social workers actively assist children in enrolling in school, organize hot meals and activities for them. For many of them, the food at the day center is the only hot meal they have in a day.
The shelter annually accommodates 50-60 children, providing them with psychological rehabilitation and the opportunity to continue their education. All expenses for the maintenance of the shelter and day centers are covered by donor and sponsorship support. However, considering the changes in the economic situation and the rise in food prices, the costs of providing children with essential nutrition continue to increase.
