During the discussion, the focus was on the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects in the healthcare sector, which are being carried out with the help of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund. In particular, the construction of the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital is ongoing, and a project for the modernization and creation of a new building for the National Hospital is being prepared, which will be part of the initiative to create a "Medical Town".
The minister also emphasized the importance of cooperation in training medical personnel. Kyrgyz specialists participate in educational programs that are implemented with the support of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, including the international Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for the regular medical missions and humanitarian assistance that the Republic of Korea provides to support the population and develop the healthcare system.
At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further deepening cooperation, covering the development of medical infrastructure, personnel training, and the exchange of experience in the healthcare sector.
