During a bilateral meeting held by the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanibek Dosmambetov, and the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, important aspects of cooperation were discussed. This information was received from the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Kyrgyz side noted that it highly appreciates the support of its Russian colleagues in organizing the negotiations, as well as the warm reception and fruitful dialogue, emphasizing the strategic nature of relations between the two countries based on many years of trust.

The main topics of discussion included issues concerning the interests of citizens of both countries.

Considering the traditional openness of the Russian side in providing medical assistance, the possibility of continuing to allocate quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Russian medical institutions was also discussed, including referrals for high-tech medical services.

Staff development became another important topic of the negotiations. The parties discussed expanding educational opportunities for young doctors from Kyrgyzstan who are graduates of medical universities, including training in residency programs in Russian educational and clinical institutions in such in-demand specialties as neurosurgery, oncology, and cardiac surgery.

While discussing staffing issues, the parties also noted the need to organize internships and professional development for Kyrgyz doctors at leading medical and scientific centers in Russia. The Kyrgyz side will prepare proposals for internship directions within the framework of the ministry's directives.

In the field of high technologies in medicine, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in joint projects, including the establishment of a nuclear medicine center in Kyrgyzstan with its own production of radiopharmaceuticals. During the discussion, it was noted that some components of this project are already being implemented through the National Center for Oncology and Hematology with the participation of JSC "Rosatom." Several initiatives for creating the center are included in the country's state plans, including the preparation of a regulatory framework and design scheduled for 2026, with completion expected by 2030.

The parties also discussed the exchange of experience among medical professionals, including joint surgical operations and the expansion of scientific cooperation. In conclusion, the Kyrgyz side emphasized its respect for Russia's advanced experience in organizing healthcare and its interest in studying and implementing it, taking into account local specifics.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue the dialogue and strengthen cooperation, focusing on practical solutions that will enhance the availability and quality of medical services for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
