According to the press service, during this meeting, the current state and future of bilateral cooperation in the field of health care were discussed.

Osmonov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan values its friendly relations with Korea and attaches great importance to the development of mutually beneficial partnerships. He noted that the establishment of comprehensive cooperation in December 2024 will open new horizons for expanding interaction in various fields, including health care.
The parties also discussed preparations for the "Central Asia - Republic of Korea" summit, scheduled for 2026, which will serve as an important platform for strengthening strategic dialogue and practical cooperation.
During the negotiations, emphasis was placed on the implementation of infrastructure projects in the health sector, supported by the Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
In particular, the construction of the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital is ongoing, and a project for the modernization and construction of a new building for the National Hospital is being developed as part of the initiative to create a medical campus.
Minister Osmonov noted the significance of cooperation in the training of medical personnel. Kyrgyz specialists are undergoing training under programs supported by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, including the international Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program. This provides local specialists with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with modern medical technologies and advanced management methods.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for the regular medical missions and humanitarian assistance that Korea sends to the country to support the population and develop the health care system.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation, including the development of medical infrastructure, training personnel, and exchanging experiences in the field of health care.
