Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the 43-year-old Crown Prince of Dubai, announced a new symbolic initiative as part of the Mother's Day celebrations, proposing to replace the term "housewife" with "creator of generations." This was reported by Gulf Today, citing the prince's directive to the Community Development Authority.

The proposed term will be used on Emirates ID cards and other official documents. Additionally, "creator of generations" will become a new concept for social programs and in public discourse.

This initiative highlights the importance of mothers in shaping both families and society as a whole. The new term aims to change the perception of motherhood, emphasizing its active role in the development of the nation rather than a passive domestic function. "You are the foundation of all that is good," Sheikh Hamdan noted while addressing mothers.

According to media reports, while this innovation has symbolic significance, it also carries cultural and social implications that could change the approach to valuing childcare in the United Arab Emirates.
