In her speech at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 21, Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova called for enhanced measures against the spread of synthetic drugs.

She noted that although the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Drug Control Service is yielding positive results, the situation remains extremely alarming.

“We cannot leave the prosecutor's office indifferent. It is particularly concerning that children, schoolchildren aged 12-16, are being drawn into this. This is truly a dangerous situation! Urgent action is needed from the government, law enforcement agencies, and special services. This problem is spreading like cancer and requires more active measures. Work should be carried out in cooperation with the Ministries of Education and Health,” emphasized the deputy.

She also highlighted the seriousness of the consequences of drug use.

“I urge the prosecutor's office not to limit itself to fighting corruption and controlling business. It is important to pay attention to the situation with minors. There is a targeted effort to make young people dependent on synthetic drugs,” added Kozhokulova.
