“Like it or not, we have to go for it. The proposal to raise tariffs was made a long time ago, and I asked for this issue to be worked out in more detail. We need to adapt the tariffs so that residents start using cashless payments. When we fully transition to cashless transactions, it will help comply with traffic rules, drivers will not be distracted, and passengers will become more disciplined. This will solve many problems and ensure budget transparency,” he added.
In addition, the mayor noted that the issue of increasing tariffs for cash payments was also discussed.
“Currently, the city is short of about 400 drivers, and to raise their salaries, it may be necessary to revise the tariffs. Buses should be operated for at least ten years, which requires regular maintenance,” the mayor concluded.
